Yes, I do. So what do you believe in, evolution?

Both are justifiable for their own reasons. I’m not going to sit here and say my belief in God is what you have to believe, but I wonder why Christians are under such scrutiny when the subject “Religion vs. Evolution” comes up.  It seems like it’s a hard pill to swallow when someone says they believe in God, but evolution is a belief in itself.
I’ve heard some people say, “That’s stupid, you believe something that was written by some old guy thousands of years ago.” What they believed in was evolution, who wrote the theories behind evolution?
I find that lots of people, when questioning someones religion, don’t even realize that they also believe in something. Whether it’s that we all evolved from microbes and amoebas or nothing(atheism), you still believe in that. There has been lots of scientific support to back up the evolution belief system. Whereas the scientific support to back up God’s Word has been less there of, Christians rely on their faith. I don’t want to argue the scientific explanations on these beliefs, I just want to reiterate the fact that whether you believe in God or evolution, you believe in something.
